Wait Upon the Lord

The Word tells us to wait upon the Lord. I know in our fast paced society that’s not a popular concept. We want instant everything! like Someone said I want patience and I want it now! Sound familiar? As I’ve journeyed with the Lord, I’ve learned one thing, He is an on time God! I didn’t say my time, but His. He is working, when you are getting all upset and wringing your hands, He is working all things out for your good. There is always a greater plan, than that thing you are waiting on. That’s all you focus on while you are waiting, and your eyes are blinded to the bigger picture. He is working all things for your good! In Hebrew wait means; to await with the notion of holding on strongly and to wind yourself to the thing you are waiting on. Think about today, if you are waiting on the answer, then wait in His strength.just like you would tie up a package to send it, make your prayer secure, and hold on in faith that it is coming. Tie that request to you and to the Word, and don’t let nothing steal it from you. Don’t let the devil whisper and say “see God don’t hear and care about your problems. He will try to get your focus off what you are believing for and bring confusion. Remember this, Our God is working ,while you are waiting. Look for Him, thank Him, and be patient. Knowing that you are His child and that He is doing a work in your character and soul and spirit. Scripture says learn of me, while you are waiting, make Him your focus, and sometimes I find in the waiting that the thing or answer I was holding on for was not the right thing that He wanted for me. He had something far better, that I would have missed, in trying to work it out myself. Today wait and again I say wait upon the Lord.
