I woke up this morning hearing that song in my head; we’ve weathered storms before. If you’ve never heard it I encourage you find it and listen. Dottie Rambo and family wrote it but I heard the Greene’s, family singers sing it and it is powerful! Everyone of us our going through rough waters in some area of our lives, we must know who the captain is of our ships and the Master of the sea! It says we’ve sailed through the rain
We’ve sailed through the wind, We’ve weathered the tempest Back on course again
The man who built this vessel, knows it can endure I’m sailing with the Master We’ve weathered storms before! Yesterday was one of those storm days in my life! I get up seeking the Lord trying to build my faith and the next thing you know, we are out on the stormy sea of doubt and sorrow and fear, have you sailed here before? Then you know that your only hope to make it back to shore is complete trust in the master builder and captain of the ship! Who are you sailing with today? For many years I’ve sailed with the Master, He built this vessel to endure, He hasn’t taken us in the middle of life’s seas and stranded us, no, He’s in your boat, calming the waves, even now He’s speaking Peace! Today, trust Him to protect and lead you through this stormy weather. What have you sealed your ship with? Do you know who is steering your vessel? Give Him control of the wheel and ask Him to bring you to safe harbor! He knows we are but humans and how much we can endure, when we’ve made Him master of our vessel, He says sit back child and be at peace, rest and let me sail with you, and weather this storm with you!
