Are you lonely today? Does it seem like you’ve given and given and loved and ministered to others, and tried to help, and everyone leaves? You feel the more I try the less I’m loved and appreciated. We’ve all felt that way before, like who will be my bosom buddie that one true friend that will stick with me to the end. I know that one!! His name is Jesus! He is the friend that sticks closer than a brother. When the whole world walks out He walks in! The precious Holy Spirit is our Friend , He is our comforter. Jesus knew when He went back to heaven that we would face these times of loneliness and betrayal and misunderstanding, so He said I will send the comforter to be your bosom buddie in this life. He will not only be your friend but will lead you into all truth! Today as you are asking questions , why do people leave me and I’ve only tried to do them good, take heart! You are not alone, He said I will never leave you nor forsake you, but I will be with you to the end of the age!! Isn’t that comforting? To know that you are not forgotten, but always loved and cared for, no matter what others do or how much they betray you. There is someone who walks silently by your side through this life that you can count on! I’m reminded of the old tv show, Lassie, she and Timmy were inseparable! Where one was the other was nearby, they would lay their lives down for each other! In the bad days and sad days and the mad days they knew who they could count on! Remember you have that kind of friend in Jesus, He laid down His life for you and me. He walks the dark hills the lonely places, in our daily lives to be that eternal friend!
