I love teapots, I collect them, I have for years! They remind me that I am called to serve others and to give them their portion of Jesus! A cup of tea can settle nerves or bring laughter when friends sit down to share. The royal family has it several times a day. My teapots remind me of a gentler time in our society, when we ladies were more gentle and dainty. I have many sizes, shapes and colors. My favorites are from family and friends. They again remind me to serve and help and pour out myself and pour into others. In Lamentations it says The Lord is my portion, saith my soul, therefore will I hope in Him. He is your portion He is your all and all. There is enough of the Lord to go around to every pot and cup; He blesses us everyday, in a million ways, many times we look at someone else’s cup and their portion and think, they have so much more than me, but ourGod knows where you are at and how much you can handle, so He gives the right portion for the season you are in. I’m reminded of my granddaughter, like her Ger my name she chose, she loved tea parties; and by the way don’t tell her Mom and Dad, but; she says pappy, will give me coke in my cup ! Shhhh don’t tell As she pours into my cup and her pappys and hers, I’m reminded of my Saviour pouring His life’s blood out for us, so that we live. He’s like a beautiful teapot, that’s gives us our portion so that we may drink freely of life giving water. Today be a teapot and pour into others and hope in Him , and know that He is your hope and unending portion in life’s cup.
