PRAISE is Hebrew word Halal; to celebrate, to boast, to look foolish. WORSHIP is Hebrew word shachah; to bow down, to reverence, to give tribute (Testimony) to give a gift. Psalms tells us to Praise God in song, musical instruments, shouts and even in dance as David danced with all his might (Looked foolish) before the Lord. Praise is a celebration that boasts in God’s goodness and faithfulness and produces great joy. Because it is a celebration it is more from the soul and emotional. Jesus said we are to worship in Spirit and truth. (John 4:24) Worship is from your spirit and comes out of your love and adoration for God. It is giving God the gift of yourself. It is more reverent and awe inspiring. We need both in a service. We Praise (celebrate) and our celebration lead us into Worship (giving God our tribute which is the gift of our self). We will sing loud, clap our hands, shout and dance and end with singing from our spirit in awe of God
